Tajiks British Council Goals

Driving Progress Through Purpose

Empowering communities, preserving culture, and shaping a brighter future together.

1) Promotion of Cultural Heritage:

Commemorate key cultural and historical occasions of the Tajiks, including significant UNESCO calendar days, to preserve and celebrate the rich heritage of the Tajik people.

2) Youth Empowerment Through Education:

Provide educational programs and initiatives aimed at guiding youth away from harmful societal influences such as drug abuse, violent extremism, and terrorism, fostering a positive and productive environment for young people.

3) Language and Literacy Development:

Organise Persian/Farsi/Parsi and English language classes for children, youths, and adults to promote bilingualism, cultural understanding, and integration within the broader UK community.

4) Celebration of Cultural and Religious Events:

Plan and commemorate significant events such as the ancient Nowruz festival, Islamic holidays, and other cultural and recreational activities to unite diverse communities and promote shared cultural appreciation.

5) Recognition of Efforts and Achievements:

Appreciate the efforts, achievements and contributions of individuals and civil institu-tion in cultural, educational, and social sectors.

6) Encouragement of Social Engagement:

Encourage British-Tajiks to engage in social activities and participate in British social and local decision-making, including referendums and elections.

7) Promotion of Peaceful Coexistence and Integration:

Promote and enhance participation, peaceful coexistence, and integration of the Tajik community within the host society, while preserving Tajik values, and strengthening ties with civil society to impact social decision-making in the UK.

8) Provision of Support and Advice:

Provide useful information, advice, and support on a wide range of topics to improve the quality of life, economic well-being, social, and health aspects of the Tajik community in the UK.

9) Participation in Community Ceremonies:

Actively participate in the joyful and mourning ceremonies of its members and offer special burial services. These services include administrative tasks and related costs and are accessible to members who pay a special monthly membership fee.
Note: Acceptance and signing of the Terms & Conditions of this service are mandatory for all applicants.

10) Promotional Program:

Promotion of Tajik culture in the UK, especially through academic endeavors.

Commitment to Integrity and Action

Upholding our values through responsibility, inclusivity, and dedication.

1) Collaboration with Legal Institutions:

Joint efforts with all governmental, non-governmental, and other British legal institutions.

2) Respect for Diversity:

Respect for the religious, cultural, ideological, racial diversity, and individual freedoms of citizens as recognized by British law.

3) Non-Partisan Activities:

Within the framework of TBC and on behalf of the association, there will be no propaganda or activities carried out for the benefit or detriment of natural and legal persons, organisations, institutions, and political organisations.

4) Compliance with UK Laws:

Trustee board members of TBC are obliged to observe all the laws and regulations of the United Kingdom (including requirements set by the UK Charity Commission) and consider themselves responsible and accountable in the implementation of any duties of this council.
